Our Approach

Medication management at DLH Consulting begins with a comprehensive 60-minute psychiatric evaluation. Your provider will review your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, all current medications, previous medication trials and your response to them, and your treatment goals. We offer GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing, which analyzes how your genes affect your metabolism of psychiatric medications — reducing the trial-and-error process and helping identify the medications most likely to work for you. Follow-up appointments focus on monitoring your response, managing side effects, making dosage adjustments, and assessing your overall progress.

What to Expect

Your initial evaluation is 60 minutes. Follow-up medication management appointments are typically 20 minutes and occur every 4-8 weeks initially, extending to every 1-3 months once stable. Most psychiatric medications take 4-8 weeks to reach full effectiveness. Telehealth is available for all medication management appointments statewide in Massachusetts.
